ICVerify enables merchants to accept all major
credit cards, debit cards, purchase cards, and
private label cards through a PC or PC-based POS
system.
ICVerify provides everything stand-alone credit
card terminals do, plus much more. For example,
all transactions are stored for up to nine years.
ICVerify can recall transactions on screen or
sent to a printer. Transaction information can
be searched by customer name, invoice number,
date, or date range, etc. ICVerify 's ability
to store transaction data gives merchants the
flexibility to reconcile financial information
for any period of time and to send the customer
data to a database program for a demographic analysis
and improved marketing. With ICVerify 's exclusive
signature capture capabilities (additional hardware
required), a merchant can print a single part
receipt which goes to the customer, which in turn
avoids having to store nine years worth of paper.
Anytime a merchant has a question or inquiry,
the entire transaction with signature, cardholder
name, credit card number, etc. can be reviewed.
Faster dial access response times and reduced
communication costs ensure lower operating costs
with the T8.

For merchants doing some or all order processing via
mail or phone order, ICVerify provides many valuable
features. Because ICVerify runs directly on the Point-Of-Sale
system (PC-based cash register or computer), the system's
keyboard provides the full alphanumeric capability required
for address verification on transactions. This does
not happen with a bank terminal.
Address verification allows the merchant to include
the street number, name, and zip code with the credit
card authorization. When ICVerify returns the authorization,
it includes a code which tells whether the information
matched on 1, 2, or 3 of the fields.
This feature can dramatically reduce the fraud and chargebacks,
since it is easy to get a card number but much more
difficult to get the corresponding address.
In addition, address verification often allows merchants
to receive a lower interchange rate on transactions,
putting more money into the merchant's pocket.
To support the trend of busy professional groups (such
as doctors and lawyers) sharing offices and services,
ICVerify allows up to 999 individual merchant numbers
to run using a single copy of the software package.
